If you ask me, the best strategy is this:
1) Buy yearly gold membership (100$ cost)
2) Rent 500 refs (75$ cost)
3) Extent their membership for 30 days (75$ cost - total 250$ investment)
4) Disable autopay
5) After 30 days use a part of your profits to extent your refs again for 30 days (again 75$) and keep the rest as your profit. Let's call this profit, ''profit A''.
6) Repeat steps No3 and No5 again and again. When ''A'' reaches the amount of 150$ (i.e, two times the number ''75$'') rent another 500 refs (the first 75$ amount) and extent them for 30 days (the second 75$ amount)
7) Repeat step 6 so many times as you need to reach the 2000 refs.
8) After this and now that you reached the 2000 refs you have these choices:
--- a) Or you'll spend your profits for your needs (i.e, you'll cashout the money and spend them)
--- b) Or you'll extend the days of your 2000 refs
--- c) Or you'll keep it in order to buy the yearly gold PLUS membership (and you'll repeat the above necessary steps till the day that you'll reach the 4000 refs)

That's all!

Tip: Between a), b), c) above I strongly suggest ''b'' = extend your refs. And I also recommend to:
1) Collect enough money to pay for ALL of them at once. (Just recommended)
2) To extent them for 365 days. (strongly recommended)
